There are three railway stations at Arlanda. Arlanda Express stops at Arlanda South (Terminals 2, 3 and 4) and Arlanda North (Terminal 5). Other trains depart from Arlanda Central Station. Sky City/Clarion Hotel can be reached from all stations.

To transfer between Arlanda Central Station and Sky City, travellers pass through turnstile gates to verify that the station fee for Arlanda Central Station is paid. The station fee helps fund the management and investment in the station facility and is either included in the ticket price or paid and validated on site.

Arlanda Express’ platform is situated at track 1 and 2 at Stockholm Central Station. Arlanda Express has its own waiting area adjacent to the platform. During daytime, the high-speed shuttle Arlanda Express departs every 15 minutes from Stockholm Central Station. The journey takes 20 minutes.

In December 2012, Stockholm Transport and Uppland Transport started their common line Älvsjö–Uppsala. Travellers with monthly passes pay a supplementary fare to travel to Arlanda, both from Uppsala and Stockholm. The journey from Stockholm Central Station to Arlanda takes just short of 40 minutes.

For those wishing to travel further SJ long distance trains depart from Arlanda Central Station.to northern and mid-Swedish destinations depart from Arlanda Central Station.

There are lifts and escalators at the rail stations and air terminals at Arlanda for simple and smooth movement of passengers and their luggage.

Arlanda Express, SJ X3000 and regional trains offer level boarding at the stations at Arlanda. SL’s commuter trains do not, however, conform to the platform height.
